Raphael: unfunded liabilities is the elephant in the room, has written extensively on this topic, directs audience to read his answer (in full) the Oakland Tribune.

Link: pay it off with bonds. Will pay if elected.

Lemley: must pay and honor obligations. Unions and elected officals must act.

Raya: there have already been police and fire sacrifices but we can't "push this problem on to the next council like the previous one did."

Brandt: not totally sure what the answer is but will 'keep fighting.'

Kalb: establish and fund a rainy day fund to pay this down.
