of Oakland and Sand Dollar Group, LLC to Offer Free Business Consulting and
Technical Assistance to Oakland Certified Small Businesses
Oakland,
CA, January 2013 - The City of Oakland and the consulting firm Sand
Dollar Group, LLC have teamed up to help local small businesses grow and
increase their revenue. The City and Sand Dollar Group, LLC are offering free
technical assistance to Oakland entrepreneurs who are certified as small
businesses with the City. Qualified small businesses will receive monthly
consulting services through June 2014 at no cost and will be taught a variety
of business growth and management strategies with hands on assistance from
small business experts.Additionally, all Oakland certified small business owners will have the opportunity to participate in seminars that will teach a variety of topics from local experts. Sand Dollar Group CEO Paul C. Wright says that, “the topics will range from financial management to sales and marketing and venture capital opportunities.” Most seminars will take place in downtown Oakland at the Department of Housing and Community Development.
