Four San Francisco-Area Hospitals Selected as 2014 Recipients

Southwest Airlines announced today that 73 nonprofit hospitals and medical organizations from across the nation have been selected for the Southwest Airlines 2014 Medical Transportation Grant Program, with the total impact touching 99 facilities. The four Los Angeles-area hospitals selected as 2014 participants are:


These recipients will have the freedom to provide airline tickets to patients who must travel for treatment.

Southwest’s Medical Transportation Grant Program seeks to lessen the burden of travel expenses for families who are facing serious illness by providing complimentary, roundtrip airline tickets to nonprofit hospitals and medical organizations. In 2014, Southwest will provide more than $2.8 million in free transportation to caregivers and patients seeking medical treatment. Now in its seventh year, Southwest’s Medical Transportation Grant Program has provided more than $13.2 million to organizations in 26 states.
