New Walk of Fame Honors Oakland’s Historic Blues District
Hot off the presses from the Oakland Tribune:
“A project more than 20 years in the making will create a Walk of Fame on Seventh Street, on the same blocks that cemented the East Bay's role in blues history. The project, titled "The Music They Played on 7th Street Oakland Walk of Fame," is targeted to open by late spring, according to Sunny Nguyen, a project manager for the Oakland Redevelopment Agency, who pointed out "it certainly has been a long time coming."
