Oakland Police Chief Anthony Batts Resigns

Saying he had “limited control but full accountability” OPD Chief Anthony Batts resigned today.  See his letter of resignation and City Administrator Deanna Santana’s announcement of the resignation here. This is a tough blow as the City addresses a public safety challenge.
